It was rejected on Sep 22nd. Lawyer got the letter long back. But he didn't get back to me infact he didn't know about rejection untill I called USCIS & found out the issue & informed him. I think he miss placed my rejection letter. He took 1000$ more from me for giving fast service.

My situation:
I've been given offers by two companies, A and B.
I am currently under my F1 student visa, OPT status, my OPT started at July 2010.
Company A is now processing my H1B petition, and this is the first time I apply for H1B. But I haven't started to work for them yet, they set the start date to be in Jan. next year. They just filed my H1B petition before Thanksgiving.
Right now, I decided not to work for Company A for some personal reasons, and I will work for Company B next year February. (2011) And Company B is going to file a H1B petition for me after the Thanksgiving holiday.
My issue is, Company A is going to terminate the H1B visa process from my end, and ends the employment relation with me. Will I be out of status, if Company A withdraw their H1B petition filed for me? How can I avoid this problem. What should I ask Company A to do, and what should I ask Company B to do.
I am willing to give more details if an attorney can really help me answer my questions. I would really appreciate that! It's kind of urgent. Thanks very much!

there was a thread yesterday discussing this news. It is indeed welcome news. Atleast now USCIS should concentrate on FIFO approvals. There are just too many 2003/4/5 EB-2I applicants waiting in line when 2006 applicants got approved in a frenzy last couple of months...what a cruel joke! and for EB-3I, this news may reveal the total number of cases pending. Nobody seemed to know the accurate count...

1) File for a Travel Permit. It is preferable that PR's keep their trips abroad under 6 months if they can. If not then it is best for PRs to keep their trips under one year. PRs should not stay abroad for more than a year without a travel permit and should not let their travel permit expire while they are abroad if they do travel abroad for more than one year.
2) Where someone gets their PR through employment, they should work for the employer for at least a few months after receiving their green card. This is because part of the process for applying for the PR was that they stated that they intended to work for the employer. However, where the person intended to continue employment with the petitioner, but there was a change in circumstances that caused the person to not continue working with the employer, this should be OK. However the person should be ready to explain to USCIS why they did not continue with the employer even though they intended to at the time they were granted their PR.
3) PRs can travel abroad. However, they need to be able to continue to show their intent to reside in the US. Employment abroad can be used by CBP or USCIS to question this intent. However if the person is working abroad for their US employer, it should not be an issue.

Friends,
I'm in a position where I have to file for I-140 again. In short, my company was purchased and I had to refile I-140 under the new company's name. Since the new company does not pay for Premium processing, I'll have to shell out the Premium processing fee from my pocket.
I need your honest opinion as to whether I must file with premium or regular? My PD: is June 2007.

One very useful provision that I request you to introduce in this bill is to recapture the unused employment based Permanent residence visa numbers from 2001 through 2005 and use it now. These Visa numbers have never been used due to various reasons within the USCIS. Using these Visa numbers will provide much needed relief to people like myself who have been waiting for many many years.
I love this country and am eager to make more contributions. Permanent Residence will allow me to start my own enterprise and create jobs in this country that I have come to respect, admire and live in. Waiting in the limbo for several years not knowing the outcome is constraining my education, abilities , work experience and drive.

So is it safe to assume that the extended H1B will not get invalidated even though the basis of extension was approved I-140 + pending I-485 and later the I-485 got denied.
Going to the original question. The H1B doesnt get invalidated.
The rules and available interpretations and memos talks only about the condition to "grant the extension". No where it mentioned a condition to invalidate an already granted extension.

You can add a MouseLeftButtonDown event to pretty much any element! Just select and use the Events tab to set your event handler name: http://www.kirupa.com/net/creating_simple_wpf_gui_app_pg5.htm
Both Blend and VS will auto-generate the event handler where you can insert some code :)

So what I did was drag and drop the icon into my project then turned the icon into a control using the 'Make into control' option (right click option); selected Button from the list and left everthing else as is. From here, I selected button from the tab (says [Button]) under the project name. example: mainpage.xmal).
So basic what this does is overlay the icon image with an actual button control.
Moving on.
I then selected the button (icon image) in my project and in the properties panel (on the right) under 'Common Properties' removed the word "button" from the 'Content' label.
Switched to event view (it's the rectangle with the lighting bolt -- top right) and in the box next to 'Click' gave it a meaningful name, i.e. query_Click or query or something. I think after this the MainPage.xaml.cs should open.

Unless you need to travel immediately, I551 stamp is not important. I am assuming she only declined to stamp the I-551 but the GC was approved.
These days you get the card in 30-60 days from approval. sometimes even within the week so you dont need the stamp. The actual GC card is the I-551 document you need. The stamp let you travel without the card in the days it took around a year for the card to arrive.
Congratulations and get the passport renewed, you would need the current passport for travel anyways.

I read in one of the core memebrs post that IV members are in DC talking to senators office. Did senators office play ignorant in the SJC after being sympathetic to us ? In fact if you look at it, they are better off with us stuck in H1 and waiting for our EAD. This is not my assumption, but is based on an informal discussion with one of my dept. heads. We don't think we, the legal immigrants, can go out in a half a million strong rally. Can we? what options do we have now? I do remember how the favorable clauses were just trashed away, way back in jan'06.

You mentioned only you got welcome email not your dependents...I am confused...for me I received the approval email but no status change for my wife even on the telephone check , she opened a SR on Friday...
Were your dependents approved when you checked on telephone or how did you come to know that their cases got approved (by postal mail or phone?)....my lawyer also mentioned my name only ofcourse he received the same CRIS mail that I received....
I am not sure how to check...if online is not reliable...
